MD and JD (Part 1)

Before we headed back home to Australia we managed to cross paths briefly with Mad Dog and Jenai.

We managed to fit in a bit of a sunny walk. Mad Dog, in case you didn't know, is the one who decided to go hiking with an umbrella.

Dan had a few problems coping with the rain. For the water engineers, it did happen to be a 1 in 25 year storm (that may be a slight exaggeration, but we'll just go with that for now) so I'll say I understand a little.

Before it was back to the Land of Oz for Dan and I, there was of course time to take in a couple of Canada's fine (although not in some peoples opinions) ales...

Next!

After Al Berry left, next in line to visit was Ness and Pete. For those who know them, it goes without saying that much alcohol was to be consumed during this vist. Rumour has it that the B&B we stayed at near Whistler didn't necessarily appreciate this, although memories of that night are a little hazy.

The volume of alcohol consumed may have gotten to Dan a little...

There was time for some more orderly nights, we had a beautiful dinner at Pemberton Valley Vineyard. Amazingly the guy running it was the doorman, waiter, chef, kitchen hand...you name it, he was it!

And of course there was some time for skiing at Whistler.

The girls got on well, but the boys... well, they may have had a little more trouble...

After being here for so long we finally made it to the aquarium to see the Beluga whales and also some pretty damn cool jelly fish (although of course they aren't jelly fish, but who would ever remember the real name for them?!).

By the end of the trip everyone was very relaxed, although maybe there were a few nuts that were a little bit too loose somewhere?? (no alcohol was consumed during the production of this photo)
